My Resume for Offensive Coordinator – University of Alabama Football

Dear Coach Saban, Greg Byrne, Dr. Bell, and the residents of Alabama,

What a thrill it would be to work for your team! I would be so proud to be a part of the University of Alabama family.

I have been a Coach on and off for over the last twenty years, most recently in Taylorville Little League Baseball, where the Head Coach and I brought a team of kids onto the field to finish 7th in a league with eight teams of 9/10 year old boys. I would welcome the opportunity to bring my considerable knowledge and experience to your Division I football team as the Offensive Coordinator. I am quite confident that Coach Saban can mold me into the a great NFL Head Coach. I would like to eventually become the Head Coach of the Buffalo Bills or Nichols State.

I already live in Tuscaloosa, so I would be ready to get started right away. I would take a measly $300k salary, with a buyout option of course. I also have experience working for the University of Alabama. When I left the US Navy, my 1st job was with Technical Systems Support at U of A. I worked there for 6 months and it was fun.

Some of my career highlights are:

  • I evaluated and assisted in the drafting of 9/10 year old baseball players, many of which had little to no experience.
  • I played against the great Nate Miller in High School tryouts. He went on to play at Central High School, LSU, Buffalo Bills, and the XFL champion – Los Angeles Xtreme.
  • I used to be able to recite the entire starting line up of the Atlanta Braves back when they had Dale Murphy, Bob Horner, Glenn Hubbard, etc.
  • I have been an Alabama fan since my family and I moved to Tuscaloosa in 1980. We moved from Georgia right after they won their National Championship.
  • I won $100 in 1992 betting on Alabama over Miami from a fellow sailor in Washington.

If I was the Offensive Coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons after Julio Jones caught that amazing sideline catch, I would have downed the ball for until 4th down and kicked a field goal. I am confident that my gassed out defense could have held the GOAT to only 8 points in 4 minutes, so my 11 point lead would have been safe.
